It was sold at auction in 1929 to Yates' Wine Lodge.) J Page's haberdashery shop next to the Talbot, Gibson's Printers and Cranes would soon be demolished c 1865 for the widening of Sheep Lane (named after the flocks of sheep which drovers brought down to the cattle market which was once held on the Market Square). After widening, Sheep Lane was re-named Market Street. Sheep Lane is the narrow alley up the side of Fluck's shop.
